Im getting a intel pentium G3258 with a LGA1150 socket and i wonder if the socket on my motherboard needs to be a LGA 1150 or just LGA like LGA 1511?

THe cpu socket has to match the cpu socket on the board lga X motherboard with lga X cpu, and lga Y motherboard with lga Y cpu.

It needs to be the same exact socket of that motherboard. The only exception to this rule is some of the old AMD sockets.
