CPU Overclock good?

This isnt much of a discussion, I just wonder if my cpu overclock is good.

What i have is the i7-6700k 4.0GHz standard.

And the highest i can go without exceding 1.400 volts is 4.7GHz. is that good?

I've seen people have to use both a higher and a lower voltage than that to get a stable 4.7, but it's pretty good yes.

That voltage isn't going to fry your PC completely, but try to put it down a bit. Also are those temps from synthetic benchmarks?

Oh, so can you find out temps while gaming? Because AIDA64 test temps are higher than when you're gaming.

you dont really want to go above 1.35V IMO, im running 1.335V on my I5 4690K at 4.7GHz

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler

you never want to go above 1.4V on a modern I5, and bellow 1.35 is the comfort zone where you idealy want to be

thats not an Intel chip, i dont know about voltages and AMD, just that there current top of the line CPUs like to make motherboards catch fire, like litteraly catch fire

lower the voltage if you can. 4.5Ghz is good enough. no need for 4.7Ghz.

"Sulit" (adj.) something that is worth it

Definitely better than mine. Mine unfortunately fails Prime95 at 4.7 GHz, even at 1.4 V. I'd make sure your temperatures are cool enough, and you should be good, then.
