Question.

Go to solution Solved by WereCat,

Nice build.

And ignore the comments that say the 480 may struggle on that resolution.

I play BF1 on 1440p on high preset with the GTX 1060 and I never go below 70FPS.

RX480 performs slightly better on average in that game so I am sure you can push 60FPS on ultra  on 2560x1080.

I'm curious if I've messed anything up. I've already bought the Evo 212 so I want to be 100% confident that my setup is ready for what I want to throw at it. (BF1 2560x1080 at around High to Max settings)

i need more ram but its upgradable down the road when i need it. I already have storage sorted out and monitor with keyboard/mouse plus speakers sorted out so that isn't a problem.

Any response as to if I'm missing anything or messed up somewhere would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think the RX480 will be able to push BF1 at that resolution on max settings

EDIT: why not spend a little more and get a 1060 6GB?

System: i7 4790K, Hyper 212 EVO, 16 GB Crucial Ballistix, GTX 1070 Super clocked, MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition, Corsair RM 750, Corsair 750D (with 2 additional 140mm NZXT fans up top for exhaust.)

Should be fine, yeah. However a 1070 would probably give you better frames.

But the cooler might be a little close to the side panel.

Case supports 160mm cooler, 212 evo is 159mm

I'm sure I can force it on if it doesn't fit. its gonna be behind a huge monitor so I wouldn't mind a small bulge.
