Just get an i5 6500 if you want to shrink budget. Also just get a non-modular PSU and get extensions if it matters that much. Also im not sure if your case has side-panels so you could probably just get non-modular and you'd be gucci AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D | Sapphire Pulse AMD Radeon RX 7900XT Triple Fan | G.Skill 32GB 2x D5 6000
 Posted November 3, 2016 Toss the 6600K and the 212 EVO and get a 6500 instead. No point blowing the extra $80-ish on an overclockable CPU and cooler if you're not buying a Z170 board. I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.
 Well... it does depend on how anal you are about losing the 300 MHz difference in base and turbo. I have a blog! Posted November 3, 2016 First off, you'll need a Z170 mobo to OC the i5, so let's change that to a non OC i5. Other changes cut cost without sacrificing performance. I agree with the choice of Fury, it's a good 15% faster than a 1060 6G and at $270 it's the right price.
