When installing first time it did display both disks and I could select which I would like to install on. If this is the same as booting up from a os. if not I'll go get the desktop ubuntu os

Yeah, write the ubuntu ISO to a USB stick, and load Ubuntu from that, but don't use the install option, just the try.

To update on this, I found this CD with HP SmartStart on it. It says:

Array Configuration Utility
Array Diagnostics Utility
Erase Utility
System Insight Diagnostics Utility

on it, which I guess I want that Array config. Tho it gets stuck on loading drivers when booting from it. > 40min at 2 of 4 no diffrence made me say it's stuck.

Used ubuntu 16.04 LTS desktop and my monitor goes into "Out of Range!" instead of no signal. what ever this means.

*EDIT*

Showed a bit of menu before this tho.

I downloaded that HP thing and put it on a USB but when I boot from it gives me a error I cannot find anything about. It say cannot find "hpboot_v.c32"

What is this? and how do I fix that?
