If you have a really tight budget, try looking at the used card market. You can probably get a GTX 960 for really cheap and I think it beats the GTX 1050 in many cases. It's about on par with the GTX 1050ti in most cases.

While that's a nice idea, the 1050 is still a better purchase due to it requiring no additional power connector. Low wattage cards are the best.

I guess that's an important advantage, but it's not like the 960 uses 300W to itself. It's decent in terms of power efficiency. Single 6-pin if I recall correctly.

 

If it needs to run off mobo power only then I'd get the 1050.

Thank you so much guys! Now i see on the market here in the philippines a Zotac GTX1050ti Oc Edition 4gb for $165 versus a Gigabyte GTX1050TI Windforce OC 4gb for $185. Which should i get?

Like the person above said, look at the price of the RX 470. If it is around the 180$ range, get that instead. Otherwise the Zotac 1050ti should be good.

That's the better card, but it depends one your budget. $/FPS it is a slightly better deal than the GTX 1050ti.

Is it the brand example gigabyte or zotac make any difference in the gpu i will buy?

It might affect cooling and noise, but overall you should get the same peformance (or very very close performance). Zotac is a good brand they've really improved over the years.

Thank you sir you help me a lot! I might go for the Zotac GTX1050ti instead of Sapphire RX 460 2GB
