I have a 30 gb usb drive, and I want to use it to run a fairly simple program on a school computer off of the drive itself (as downloading things on the school computers are against the rules). I also want to be able to commit and changes I made to the files on the drive to the ones on my pc, or the ones on my pc to the ones on my drive, so I dont have to manually delete and replace stuff every time. Is there a way to do this with software?

Don't suppose the school computer is running Linux (Ubuntu/Fedora) I know there's a way then, other than that, no. Plus if you can't download stuff to the school comp, how would you get the mirroring program on it?

As for running programs off the drive, you can probably use http://portableapps.com/

Cheers.
