It's a pretty good all-around build, but there are some things to take care of before I'd start ordering anything.

First of all, get a better PSU. The CX600 is rated at 600 W, but at only 30 C. Its maximum wattage drops like a rock after that, and the GTX 1070 and i7-6700 will be testing that 30 C limit regularly at even moderate load. You don't need the best of the best, but if you're doing anything other than turning the PC on, I'd seriously consider something else. You can currently get a 650 W EVGA SuperNOVA G2 PSU for $80, which should prove to be an excellent value.

Do you actually need 32 GB of RAM? Even high-end editing rigs rarely benefit from having much more than 16 GB, and any unused RAM has no direct performance improvement whatsoever.

If you're not going to do SLI or get an overclockable CPU, I'd save a little bit of money and get an H170 motherboard. Most full ATX H170 motherboards will still have four RAM slots.

If you are going to do SLI, get a 750 W PSU.

If you are going to overclock your CPU, get the 6700K... and a different power supply.

Not bad, but a few things.

Don't use that SSD. There are better options.

Do you honestly need 32GB of RAM? I doubt it. Don't over spend on some areas, and leave crucial components like the PSU or cooling alone.

Speaking of PSU, that one isn't very good. Get something of better quality like a Seasonic unit.

Hi guys. I do 4K and 6k editing on Vegas Pro and Premiere. That's why I thought 32Gb might come in handy. Also play the occasional triple A title.

I dont plan on overclocking but I got the Z170 board because I got a good deal from B&H on it because I had some rebate cards. That was more worthwhile because I only paid 60 USD for the board.

Is the PSU that bad? I picked this one because the EVGA 600W 80+B wasn't in stock.

Do I need an after market cooler? Not planning on doing any overclocking. Also, is my GTX 1070 defective after the cooling issues have been brought up?

1. I really doubt you will benefit a lot from 32GB of ram. Just go for 16GB and upgrade later.

2. if you are getting a good deal on a z170 mobo you might as well get a 6700K for OC.

3. It not bad but certainly not ideal for your build. Get an EVGA G2 as other people suggested but the rmx/i series from corsair is just as good or any seasonic PSUs.

4. If you can get the founders edition for cheap then go for it. But an aftermarket cooler will run cooler and quieter.
