Just installed my new CX450M and booted up everything, but now my gpu is not being detected (GTX 560 for now). Works fine via IGPU and is slotted in perfectly. I have seriously no idea what is wrong and it seems once one thing is fixed another breaks... close to packing it up for good and just selling the thing. Don't want to order my RX470 without being sure of the problem. Any help appreciated thanks so much

Everything set up in bios properly. No fresh install just a PSU replacement

Do the fans spin on the card at all? PCIE 6 pin power is plugged in? Some 560s have two.

Yeah this one takes two and both are plugged in, fan spinning no problem. I'm really confused.

That's not good then. Any way you can try the card in another system? It could just be your new PSU, the CX series is meh for reliability.

Can't check now but will when I can. Crazy how my dodgy psu has no problem running it the last while. Surely the new psu can't be too bad with the rest of the system running...

I've had two of the 650W CXMs fail within the last year, the original and the replacement just the other night. And the replacement was running a system that needed less than 250W at absolute peak. Anything can happen.

Something you can do is hook your old PSU back up; doesn't even have to be in the case just plug it all in with the case side off, and try it. If your card suddenly works then you know you need to return the CX450.

Reconnected the old PSU and it didnt power up. But when I connected back my new one its up and running now. However, there is a strange buzzing sound from what I think is the gpu when I launch a game. Launching in safe mode and then playing the game eliminates the sound.
UPDATE: Running fine but getting low fps, buzzing gone for now... the card is about 3 years old and had an owner before me of 2 years so... Might be time to say goodbye.
