I have recently gotten into folding on my laptop. I really want to make a machine that will be able to run 24/7 without any failures. My budget is to get it as cheap as possible, so feel free to source ebay (because of link rules, whoever creates the best build can pm me the links at the end). Multiple GPU's would be better (i will use dummy plugs for the gpu's).

Thanks!

P.S. Not sure if this should go in folding or here.

Why don't you just use your current machine? Honestly that's what I did, and paused it every time I would game or needed it for anything.聽

This is pretty cheap and would make a great folding machine, you don't have to get the gpu either.

CPU = Anything with enough cores to handle the amount of GPUs in the system (2 at the minimum).聽

RAM = I don't think it matters.

Motherboard = Doesn't matter which, just get one with enough PCIe x16 slots.聽

Storage = A simple 320GB HDD or 32GB SSD would be good enough.聽

GPUs = Up to you

PSU = For a single GPU, I'd recommend a 450-550W PSU. For 2 GPUs, a 650W would be fine unless they're 290s. For 2 290s or something like that or 3 GPUs, 750W would be good.聽

This would be a folding only build.聽
