Is gigabyte trolling me ?

Hi about 2 months ago I had a problem with my gpu like it would get a random color screen every single time i opened my pc . I sent it for rma to gigabyte . 1 month past by I had no reply i sent about 2-3 emails and i had no clue what happened to my card , if it arrived if they would replace / fix it etc. 2 months go by and i get an email saying your gpu is already on the way . I was super happy that I had finally news about my gpu but I wanted to know what error caused my gpu to fail , their response was this [  Hi Here the problem description, should be caused by one of the components according to it Error: V13 ONLY 3D MARK Reason: C12 SMT Open ] does anyone know what this even means? thank you for your time

I caused a graphics card to display only green because a little heatsink i put on my motherboard fell off and landed on the back of the GPU, shorting out some pins. In electronics SMT could stand for surface mount tech, which would indicate the SMT component C12 was not connected properly. But I'm just guessing here

component 12 was busted basically, im guessing it was a capacitor because of the "open" which could mean a blown cap

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...
