Yahoo is ordered to start using Microsoft Search in Hong Kong and Taiwan

snowComet

Back in 2010, Microsoft formed a 10-years Search Alliance with Yahoo. By the agreement in this alliance, Yahoo should adopt Microsoft Bing search in Hong Kong and Taiwan this month. But Yahoo delayed the adoptation, as " it wanted to see if Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer’s successor is equally committed to the deal". Microsoft filed to court for the delay, and U.S. District Judge Robert Patterson Jr. ruled that Yahoo must start using Microsoft search technology in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
