cpuxtech

I installed Visual Studio Express 2012 for Windows Phone, and upon installign it says I don;t have Virtualization Enabled, when in my real Bios it is enabled. I ran a check and It says I don't ahve support for it. I have read tigns where it says its impossible to do it but I just want a definitive for sure updated answer Thanks!

It uses Hyper-V. Unless your system is really new, or a server, you don't have support for it.

I kinow it usee Hyper-V. My CPU is a 3770K. Windows 8 and my system should have support for hardware virtualization(it does absolutelt) and I cant see why it wouldnt have support for Hyper-V.

Oh I see. You didn't install Hyper-V.

Win+W > type: features > select: Programs and Features

On the left side column, click on Turn Windows feature on or off, then check the box for Hyper-V, and click on OK. It will install and restart your computer.

I did. Im saying with hardware virtualization enabled in the bios and Hyper-V installed. The VIRTUAL MACHINE WINDOWS 8 say hardware virutalization. After research it is clear that a virtual machine cannot support hardware virutalization, therefore my virtual machine cannot support a windows emulator because it is lik ehaving a virtual machine in a virtual machine.

OHHHHH running Windows 8 Hyper-V IN a Virtual machine! Now i follow you. No you can't. Hyper-V requires direct CPU access.
