Mouse and keyboard stop responding

System specs

Intel Sandybridge-E i7 3930k ,6 core, 12 thread cpu 
Asus P9X79 pro motherboard
Coolermaster Nepton 140XL aio cooler
Corsair Dominator Platinum 2400mhz ram, 16gb (4x4gb) quad channelled 
Samsung 850 EVO 250gb SSD
1tb HDD
Corsair CX750m modular psu
KFA2 GTX770 OC gpu
Aerocool Predator x3 case

 

I did reinstall Windows 10 so Idk if it's a driver issue,  but I did view prior and no issues I could,  reinstall drivers? 

 The computer then locks up and can only be used after restarting

Are you using usb 3.0, and have you tried a ps2 mouse/keyboard if the board has a port for one? 

 

My x79 board has had issues with the keyboard on usb3.0 before.

Ill have to have a look and try again,  sometimes happens randomly
