IGPU comparisent

I hope this does not need to be in gpu section.

 

recently i built my friend a rig with An i5 6600k.only problem,the gpu was late in shiping,so he used the machine with the IGPU for a while.

now i noticed That he could run games way smoother on That then i could,with my i5 760 and a gtx 750ti.

how on earth is this possible? They both have 4 cores and a similar clockspeed,so i realy dont understanding this.

Similar clock speed? Your i5 760 has base clock of 2.8 and the 6600k can be overclocked (base at 3.5ghz) to even higher

The i5 760 and 6600K are nowhere near the same level of CPU. The new one is waaaaay better. Also, the on-board graphics on intel CPU's has gotten a lot better over tha last 2 generations. I am not too surprised that it is holding its own against a 750ti with a 5 year old cpu.

The built in GPU is ok if you are playing casual/indie games that do not require lots of GPU power. Its also OK if you lower your graphical settings in game. Out of curiosity, which GPU did you order?
