Hi all I have had my s7 edge for about 6 months now but i seem to run into a problem over night one night I woke up and went to plug it in but it said there was mosture in the port i found that a bit odd as i had never put it in water but i put it in rice for 24 hours and then went to try again then  i put it in rice for another 24 hours then tried again still nothing at this point i tried drying using a hair dryer from  distance using a vacum cleaner against the port still nothing

 

*NOTE* i tried it with 3 different cables then bought a new one still did not work

 

Please help :(

are you sure the problem is not from the power brick?

Sounds like the sensor's acting up. Just have it serviced. It must be well within it's warranty.

Well, that sucks. I guess you could try a factory reset in case it's a software issue. Get your data out of there and follow these instructions: http://wccftech.com/how-to-hard-reset-galaxy-s7-and-galaxy-s7-edge/

Samsung does after-warranty service too. At least get a quote from them.

i would try what Naeaes said and factory reset it, hopefully its just a software bug rather than the physical sensor. Otherwise either take it to samsung or go third party, its possible that samsung may still repair the phone even if its cracked. My girlfriend got her sony xperia z5 premium headphone jacked repaired under warranty despite the fact that she had dropped the phone and cracked the front glass. So worth trying i guess
