745m vs 840m

i gonna buy a laptop with 2 choice

1 with i7 4700HQ + Nvidia 745M 2GB

the other

1 with 4710HQ + Nvidia 840M 2GB

else the same

which 1 should i choose and why?

I think the 840m is faster, but both aren't that impressive really.

Think it doens't matter much, but think the 2nd option is a bit more performance.

I suggest you go with the 2nd combo, which is the i7-4710HQ + NVIDIA GeForce 840M. Firstly, the i7-4710HQ is 1 year later than the i7-4700HQ and the 840M is based on the newer Maxwell architecture while the 745M is based on the older Kepler architecture.

Second one is bit faster.

But whats your Budget? if its under ~1000 then get

Dell 7559 or Lenovo y700
Both has Intel Core i7 6700HQ, GTX 960M, DDR3 ( dell ), DDR4 ( lenovo ) with different capacity SSD options.

@waqas409 i think i gonna stick with those two cause at indonesia that dell 7559 and lenovo y700 price $1100++ cause of indonesian goverment tax almost increase its price 25% ~ 40%... but thanks anyway..
