I am currently trying to get a samsung ssd but i read the reviews on newegg and they said you will have nothing but problems with amd chipset and it really only works with intel i wanted to know if this is true and if i should get a different ssd

Thank you this did help alittle i still will probably get it it is just i don't want to run into problems because of cpu problems because i have an AMD 8350

I've only ever used Intel systems, so I can't provide AMD information.  I would think that if there was a problem, it would be a high priority on the fix-it list.

It is true that the software does not work correctly with the AMD SATA chipset and AMD SATA driver combination, but it does work when the native Windows 7 AHCI driver, msahci, is used instead. Samsung states that in the Magician version 4.2.1 installation manual."

So basically, use the windows driver, not samsung's software.
