Working fine for me?

Take reviews on Amazon and Newegg with a grain of salt. They're all retarded.

No really people post some of the stupidest shit in their reviews on Newegg and Amazon.

I am currently trying to get a samsung ssd but i read the reviews on newegg and they said you will have nothing but problems with amd chipset and it really only works with intel i wanted to know if this is true and if i should get a different ssd

I've only ever used Intel systems, so I can't provide AMD information.  I would think that if there was a problem, it would be a high priority on the fix-it list.

Desktop: Intel Core i7-6700K, ASUS Z170-A, ASUS STRIX GTX 1080 Ti, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 512 GB Samsund 840 Pro, Seasonic X series 650W PSU, Fractal Design Define R4, 2x5TB HDD

Hypervisor 1: Intel Xeon E5-2630L, ASRock EPC612D8, 16GB DDR4 ECC RAM, Intel RT3WB080 8-port RAID controller plus expansion card, Norco RPC-4020 case, 20x2TB WD Red HDD

Other spare hypervisors: Dell Poweredge 2950, HP Proliant DL380 G5

Laptops: ThinkPads, lots of ThinkPads

"The review dated 8/27/13 mentions the Magician software provided for Samsung SSDs. It is true that the software does not work correctly with the AMD SATA chipset and AMD SATA driver combination, but it does work when the native Windows 7 AHCI driver, msahci, is used instead. Samsung states that in the Magician version 4.2.1 installation manual."

So basically, use the windows driver, not samsung's software.
