Is my GPU getting bottlenecked by CPU?

Looking at the GPU and CPU usage of my screenshot of Afterburner, does this mean the GPU is being bottlenecked by the CPU? If it isn't, what could be the issue as to why the GPU usage is so erratic?

GPU is RX 480 4gb and CPU is FX 6300, and the game I was playing was Battlefield 1.

yea thats a bottleneck. You could prob get away with a i3-6100 in most games but pairing and rx480 with an i5 is best.(i5-6400/i5-6500)

Yup that kind of GPU usage is (most) likely CPU bottlenecking as otherwise it should be constant... not thermal throttling either

that seems to show whats on my screenshot but ill load bf1 and post screenshot of gpu z in a bit

Your CPU is bottlenecked by your bottleneck..

Best tip is not to be a bottleneck.

yeah it stays at 1306 core clock and usually never goes over 60 with 40% fan speed.

CPU it is, and Bf 1 seems to be very demanding in multiplayer, not sure if thats already solved in the meantime.

There you have your Reason. Your CPU whistles from the last hole.

You have to upgrade it.
