Hello everyone!

I really need a help. I've been searching for the solution of my problem but can't seem to find any. I've had this problem for a month now. So first of all. this is my pc specs:

http://pcpartpicker.com/list/RjwH4C

So this is how it begins. I finished my first build and then starting to use it for 1 day. While I was using it, the monitor, keyboard and mouse suddenly turned off but the components inside the case were still on. I already changed the mobo and ram to a brand new one but the problem stays. I tried all the components 1 by 1 starting from the cpu, ram and so on without any peripheral plugged to the motherboard, but it didn't solve it. When I first tried only with cpu, the debug code says E0 and then I plugged in the RAM and the debug code changed to 0d. After that I plugged in the graphic card but the debug code stays the same. So could it be that the CPU is not working? anyone knows what those debug codes are?

PLEASE I NEED HELP!

Tell us what the codes mean they will be in your Mobo manual.

Make sure the GAME BOOST knob is set to 0, and make sure your motherboard's power cables are firmly plugged in. If you haven't tried your RAM in different slots yet, I'd give that a go, too, and if that doesn't work, I'd try removing the CPU and checking the LGA pins to make sure there's nothing bent or shorted.

the game boost knob is set to 0. I plugged in the motherboard's power cable until there is a click sound. And I already tried looking for bents on the CPU socket, but everything is good. And also I changed the motherboard and RAM to a brand new one.

Since the motherboard has already been replaced, and so has the RAM, I'm betting more on CPU at this point.

that is exactly what I'm thinking. because I already changed the ram and mobo to a brand new one. I put everything together from beginning over and over again. but it is always the same debug code. I tried plugging in a USB stick to one of the USB socket, and it lights up, so it means that it is actually working, isn't it? Could it be the power supply?

It's not likely to be the power supply, but it's also not impossible. The USB stick lighting up mostly just means it's getting power, although it could be going far enough into the boot process to actually initialize. You've already tried to boot it with just the CPU and RAM, though, right? No SATA cables or anything like that plugged in? Any chance you could snap a photo or two of the board as it's set up right now?

I tried to boot it with only CPU. then CPU with RAM. then CPU, RAM and GPU and no other cable is attached to the motherboard. Only the power cable for CPU and Motherboard.

Yeah, at this point I'm calling it for a DOA CPU. There's really nothing else it could be. Just to be sure, aside from a different PSU, you could try pulling the board from the case and booting it up on top of its box or another non-conductive surface just to be sure nothing is shorting out in the case, but beyond that, yeah.

EDIT: Oh, you were doing exactly that.

haha yes exactly that. I'm just going to return the CPU and ask for a replacement. hopefully it will work out. If not then I'm out of idea what I should do haha

also the latest bios version is "1e"

https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/Z170A-GAMING-M7.html#down-bios

with bios ver 1d having a microcode update , so ver 1e will also have this also , mite fix. I believe you can flash the bios with flashback feature..

caveat... but with all bios flashing at your own risk
