Have a look at my build

I have created a build just for casual gaming, i didn't want to spend to much but i did not want to compromise. If you guys could give me any tips that would be great. I just really want to get of this laptop. Csgo at 40fps, enough is enough. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/XGkRFd

That's going to get you well over 40fps in CS:GO with that hardware. :P

"May your frame rates be high and your temperatures low"

I misread titles/posts way too often--correct me if I don't.

You don't need a CPU cooler (its included) and a Z170 board is a waste with a non K cpu, get a cheaper B150/H110 board instead.

Use the money you saved to get the 6GB 1060 and a better PSU. Maybe even invest on a i5 6500/6600.

H170 can actually overclock a nonK CPU, this particular model does.

Intel patched it out a long time ago.

That build would be overkill if u wanted 40FPS on CS:GO,

My Potato;

- GT 620

- 8GB RAM

- i5 3470

Can run it a 50FPS

Actually Hyper series still allow you to overclock.

What I think is that you need to use the original bios that comes with the motherboard, if you use the most recent they would be locked.

But that locks you out from bug and vulnerability fixes.

Would the extra ram on the graphics card really enhance performance by that much? If i do not get the cooler will my CPU get to hot or will the included fan do the job (without overclocking)

the 3gb gtx 1060 performs worse than the 6gb gtx 1060 due to a cut-down gpu and some games are using more than 3gb of vram. the stock heatsink is good enough to cool it without overheatig. if it does overheat you can easily get a cheap heatsink to replace it.
