I am purchasing a new setup soon and just checking in on your thoughts for this build and what could be improved for little difference in price.

I am using it for editing, recording, gaming.

Monitor will be chosen closer to date however I have a couple in mind!

If you're willing to spend all that money why not get 16 GB RAM and a 3 TB hard disk? It would be about $100 more for both of those things together.

Yes, it's 2871 as in the year 2871. I traveled all this way, back in time, just to help you. And you thought your mama lied when she said you were special-_-

Ive made a few changes

1. I changed your windows 10 to an OEM key making it £100 cheaper

2. I changed the PSU you dont need one that expensive a CX will be fine

3. I changed your motherboard as your paying a little to much in my opinion

4. I changed your ram to 1x8gb leaving extra room for improvement

5. I boosted your GPU up to a 1070 as i feel you will not need a 1080 and a 1070 will be fine until a new generation of GPU's come out.

I recommend you consider changing your peripherials to something from a brand like corsair, that will help the price and maybe change the case as its a bit pricey, but apart from that it looks solid.

btw I dont have the extra $150 to spend. thanks though. Ill take some suggestions

well wait then, there is no pointing buying 1060 and then upgrading to a 1080 in two years when its about to outdated within a few months, cut back on the overpriced stuff you dont need and get a better gpu, you dont need $150 case, save some money and buy a cheaper case, maybe even think about picking up some parts second hand, but trust me do not buy a 1060 just to swap it out again
