New PC Build

I was just finished building my pc and i went to plug it in to the monitor and it said no signal.

any tips?

the specs are:

rx 460, 8gb crucial memory, aoc 19" monitor, i5-6400, asrock motherboard h110m-dgs

Could be a GPU problem

i don't think so its brand new

Most likely, is it all of the way in?

 

Is the PCI-E lane broken?

 

Is it getting power?

i took it out and it still said no signal

reseat the RAM

 

same goes with the GPU

try booting without the GPU

Or did it POST before and now it's just not getting a signal

it turns on and everything but still no signal

i done everything i took out the ram and put it back in i took out the gpu i took out the battery for the motherboard i re plugged everything back into the motherboard and i tried a different monitor but still no signal

It might be kinda dumb suggestion, but did you check input source on monitor?

Is your cable working as it should?

yeah, i had to buy a dvi-d to vga adapter

Does the system power off on its own or does it stay on?

 

Also have you tried just hooking it up to a tv or different monitor w/ an hdmi cable just to see if that cable or adapter is the problem?

it stays on, and it only takes dvi-d :C i don't have an adapter for hdmi

The RX460 you have doesn't have an hdmi output?

If that still doesn't work then check your pins on your socket just in case one of them got bent.

Haha it's no problem. I'm guessing using HDMI worked then. If so then it's like I said, the other cable or adapter is bad.
