i5 4210u? As far as I know there isn't even a laptop with that cpu that supports an external gpu...

Strange, my laptop doesn't have a Thunderbolt 3 or a proprietary plug that's most non-DIY hacks use. And neither do most of the ones at the local Best Buy.

 

EDIT: And the Z50 doesn't either.

 

I mean you could try doing a hack job by hijacking the mini PCIe slot the WiFi card uses, but you'll be running at PCIe 2.0 x1 speeds.

You need support from the bios to be able to use an eGPU. Most laptops don't have that. And a simple thunderbolt 3 adapter will have nowhere near the amount of bandwidth you need, not to mention I'm not sure if it would work EVEN if you had bios support
