Hi all, I am looking to buy this monitor, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017EVR2VM/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3S7KNA14PZCG&coliid=I2OZOSWXXZOKK1&psc=1 but I am not sure if I should go for it at its current price or wait for Black Friday/Holiday season. I would like to have it from Amazon because I have Prime, but does anyone have any guidance on maybe when a good time to check price drops maybe? Thanks all

Black Friday is a month away. If that monitor doesn't go on sale others like it will. I would say, unless you know for certain you want that exact model, wait for Black Friday.

Although, Cyber Monday would probably be an even better time for Amazon sales! :P

Yes, it's 2871 as in the year 2871. I traveled all this way, back in time, just to help you. And you thought your mama lied when she said you were special-_-

That's what I'd consider a hot ticket item. I'm going to wager the most it'll go on sale for is $50 off, but that's about it. And that's if it'll even go on sale.

Any idea how that monitor is above 60hz and yet says it's IPS?

I thought greater than 60hz typically will be TN or whatever that other type of panel that's meant to be a cross between TN and IPS is?

Fast refresh rate IPS monitors have been around for a while. There's nothing that says IPS is limited to up to 60Hz.

Sorry.  I didn't mean to say that IPS was limited to 60hz.  Just that I the impression I had was that IPS is most commonly 60hz.  With 120hz and above merely less likely to be IPS.
