Ideas for a school-project

WAUZZZI

Hey forums,

I have to make a project for school and I have absolutely no idea what I could build, other people are building things like bridges, wind wheels, solar-stuff but that's just too boring and ordinary imho, I want to make something special.

Things I have here:

Lots of Legos, a couple of motors, lots of cables, batteries and stuff, Soldering-Iron, basic knowledge of electronics (calculate how strong a resistor must be and stuff, drawing blueprints etc.) and I also have a working motherboard of a Galaxy Nexus including all sensors (Ambient-Lighting, 2 cameras, 2 microphones, accelerometer, gyroscope) Bluetooth, GPS, you could do lots of things with that but I have no idea what exactly I could do so I ask you, maybe you had to make such projects too and could tell me what you did, that would be awesome! :)

Thanks for your time and help in advance!

Greetings from germany.

You could look to Ben Heck for inspiration, he builds a lot of cool stuff.

Try making a mobile phone charger ON a bicycle via the dynamo, so you charge your phone if you cycle!

Hey,

sry for my late response, I've been busy :D

Thanks for the comment with Ben Heck, he really has a lot of awesome stuff, maybe I'll find something there, thanks!

Lego-Case would be awesome too, I have old PC-Parts laying around, maybe I can build something with it, I'll ask my teacher if that would be okay.

That would be really awesome but I don't have the NXT-Cube unfortunately (another thing that's on my endless list of "Have to buy"...) but I think we have those at our school, maybe I could do something with them, the program for controlling this thing is fairly straightforward, I remember that we took part in tournaments that our school hosted, if I could use the NXT that would be awesome :D

Make 3d or (real one) model of that big data center that belongs to NSA and make it explode, set on fire, crush by a Godzilla, flooded, turn into pieces by tornado, get attacked by zombies and much more. Youll get top grade...
