i need more USB's!!

Go to solution Solved by Electronics Wizardy,

Any usb hub works, Id just get a inexpensive usb 3 hub.

FOr speed the total is about the same as the host port, so 5gb/s

For max devices, its 127 per controller, so don't worry about htat.

Just got an MSI ghost pro, love the laptop except it only has 2 USB ports! both USB3, any good recommendation for a USB hub?

Ive basically replaced my desktop with the laptop, needs must, so some times i could have up to 5 usb devices attached, mouse, keyboard( the keyboard for when i hook it up to my monitor when im at my desk) USB headphones, Xbox 360 wireless receiver and external HDD reader or USB stick.

How many UBS deviced and one port support? whats the cut off, if one of the things on the hub is a usb drive, im assuming it will suffer performance wise?

TIA

Power requirements are also a concern, and therefore a powered hub may be required.

I got a simple hub that powers four USB 3.0 ports.  It works great and the outside power keeps everything working perfectly fine.
