I got my 6700k last month and I oced it 4.6ghz at 1.34 v with LLC set to high and at max load I never go above 70c with my corsair h100i gtx( 24c ambient). I need this CPU to last me 4-5 years. Will it last me that long with this overclock? Is it anything that to be worried about?

Unless you overvolt it to something high like 1.45 V or you cool it poorly, you're not going to reduce the lifespan of your CPU that much. It could actually last you longer than 5 years in terms of obsolescence, since you've overclocked it.

Ofcourse you can always be unlucky for what ever reason, but you should be good. CPU dying out in 5 years is a overall rare thing these days, unless really pushed extreme (even then) or user screwing something up. Assuming you don't do something silly your OC alone does not qualify as an extreme situation.

The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane.
