So me and my brother built the computer about a year ago ive had this issue since then and havent been able to resolve it.

Here are the specs:

Case: CM Haf 912

CPU: FX 6300 /w h100i

Mobo: Gigabyte 970a-ds3 \

HDD: 1TB WD + 90gb SSD kingston HyperX

Audio: ASUS Xonar DG w/ old Logitech Speakers

GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7950

Now my issue is that when i plug the front panel audio stuff into the Xonar DG i dont hear anything that comes out of it just static but my logitech speakers when connected directly to the back of the audio card works fine. That's really only a small issue, the other one i have is that any type of mic i use wont produce any sound whether i plug it into my logitech speaker which does not have a mic slow but just a headphone slot nor does this work at all with the front panel and the back of the Xonar DG itself. I have tried multiple types of headphones with mic (ie. Tritton Detonators, S3 headphones, Razer Kraken), read online for solution and fiddled with the Xonar DG audio control and nothing seems to work.

really want to use teamspeak/ skype for the longest amount of time now, even tempted in buying a new audio card or USB headphones if that changes anything

Disable on-board audio from BIOS. Update Xonars drivers. Plug mic and headset you know are working to back connectors of soundcard. Open windows audio manager. On recording devices check that Microphone is enabled and it recognizes it as Xonar one. Open mic properties and find tab that has Mic boost tick box and enable it. At this point you should see green bar moving on microphone when in Recording device screen if jack and mic are working. If not, open Xonars audio setup software (now going bit guessing side), find levels tab and check that recording isn't muted or set to really low.

Unfortunetly can't help you with fp problem.
