Looking for a good microphone!

Hi!

I've been looking for a good microphone for a while now but I can't come to any conclusion. I've been looking at the Røde NT USB, AT2020 USB and the Blue Yeti.

I have price range on max $350 (including boom arm and maybe a shockmount.)

Anyway I will wait until Black Friday until I purchase any microphone, what microphone/boom arm do you recommend?

Addon: I will play FPS games like CS:GO and H1Z1. I don't want my keyboard to get to loud when I play. (I'm using Corsair K70 RGB.) That's pretty much it.

What are you doing? Getting a mic highly depends on what you're doing and how the area around you is. Lots of background noise like are you near train tracks, a highway, live in a city? ect

Isn't that a XLR microphone. And how much will a compressor cost?

Yes it's XLR. You'd need a USB audio interface. They range in price.

Here's a 30$ and 100$ one.

I'll talking with friends in Discord and maybe starting a podcast or something similar.

But what's the difference? Will the microphone sound better with a more expensive one?

The AT2020/Yeti have great quality. I only recommended this microphone because of your huge budget for a mic setup.

It very much depends on what your doing, if your like me and you need it to stream/record youtube videos, then I would highly recommend the samson meteor; 3kliksphilip also uses it to record his videos (https://m.youtube.com/user/3kliksphilip)

If your going to be doing something like recording vocals or instruments you may need a different microphone, its a good idea to explain what you will be doing when you ask for hardware recommendations.

Okey so I will play FPS games like CS:GO and H1Z1. I don't want my keyboard to get to loud when I play. (I'm using Corsair K70 RGB.) That's pretty much it.

Most of the microphones recommended will pick up the click clack of the keyboard. I've found it easiest to set up a noise gate in Windows.

If your just gaming there is no reason to pay more than the meteor/yeti. What you need to pay for are accesories to reduce the noise, I know there are things you can get to quiet a mechanical keyboard a bit, but if all else fails just find a wireless membrane keyboard to use while recording/streaming.

I use this one and it is undetectable in my audio: https://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-2LF-00001-Wireless-Desktop-800/dp/B003SVSJ1K
