DELL E7440 sound issues

I use a dell latitude E7440 and it has a problem with sound it started a few weeks ago ,when I play sound it takes a few seconds to actually come out of the headsets or headphones ,now the sound is not coming out of the headsets but out of the speakers no matter what I do  the sound plays through the built in speakers.

I tried

-updating the drivers(no change)

-uninstalling the drivers but windows always installs them back

 

guys am stranded can you please help me :/:S
