Fallout 4 vs Doom (2016)

laushik
Go to solution Solved by corrado33,

I have both.

So far I've played DOOM twice and I'm barely past the starting area of Fallout 4. But I'm in a "fast paced, badass, metal" FPS mood as of late. I can only do so much "exploring" and I'm also playing Dragon Age right now, so that takes up my "exploring" budget.

Fallout, like the games before it, is a "Fight a little, explore a lot" game. Doom is just the opposite. "Fight a lot, explore a little."

Which one should I get? They are both on sale.

They are both meh I'm my opinion, save your money for a different game like dishonored 2 <3

Fo4' was fun and all going through the campaign but then it gets boring, modding isn't as fun as skyrim

Doom, the single player campaign was GREAT, but multiplayer is meh and game bores itself.

Why not both?

Fallout 4 will last you far longer than DOOM

And if you like atmospheric games like fallout, I would just get fallout 3 and NV which might be on sale as well, and imo better than 4

Shipping sucks

I'd get Doom, just don't expect the multiplayer to be good.

I also have both.  I got bored of Fallout after the first couple of hours and have played through Doom at least three times now!

Fallout is good, it just wasn't my thing.

Both are great. FO4 has a serious amount of mods now and alot of content. Doom4 SP is awesome. You realy should get both.

I like both, but doom just got an arcade mode yesterday which is a shit ton of fun.
This is honestly one I couldn't decide on.
My only grip with fallout 4 is, it's not very well optimized, but still a great game.

I recommend Fallout: New Vegas over Fallout 3, many people have had compatibility issues with Fallout 3 running on Windows 10.

you just have to install a windows live client thing-a-ma-bob and it works perfectly. It asks you to sign in but you don't even need to. It's weird, I don't understand it. You download it and forget about it, and it works perfectly

Shipping sucks
