So I built my pc about four months ago. I have been having blue screen issues ever since. The first thing I wanted to try was a fresh install of windows because I assumed it was bad drivers. Something happened with my motherboard bios so I rma'd it and got a new one (replaced msi z170a sli plus with asus z170a a much much better mobo). I of course did a fresh install of windows and no such luck. Still getting blue screen errors during gaming and some chrome browsing. The error that was most common was the memory management error. I suspected it was my gpu so I used display driver uninstaller and removed my card. I didn't have a single issue that day. Next I decided to contact nvidia to see if my hardware was incompatible with their drivers. According to them, nope. First they suggested I removed my dual 6pin to 8pin power adapter. Didnt work. Then they had me install an earlier driver for my 1070. Now I cant even get into windows. Its just a boot loop of bsod consisting of:

Kmode exception not handled

Kernel Security Check Failure

Memory management

System thread exception not handled       what failed: ntfs.sys

APC index mismatch

Bad pool header

System service exception            what failed: nvlddmkm.sys

IRQL less or not equal

I have no idea what to do at this point. Reinstall windows? Remove the 1070, uninstall drivers, and reinstall updated ones? RMA it? Or my favorite option right now, throw it out the window.

Unfortunately I cant get to the dumps right now because its in a bsod boot loop, but if the dumps could solve the issue, I can probably find a way to get them. I'm very frustrated right now, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried removing your drivers with DDU, taking the 1070 out and using onboard graphics? have you thought about it possibly being your PSU? Have you taken all your overclocks off (including RAM)?

Clear CMOS (keep factory settings until installation of OS, keep fast boot off indefinitely). This might be dumb, but make sure you're deleting the existing partitions on drive for the fresh install. Could try getting windows to install and load with onboard graphics first, then add the GPU. Hopefully it's not a CPU issue, but technically wouldn't be a waste checking that the pads on CPU are clean at this point. Alcohol and microfiber cloth if cleaning.

Broken RAM would be my first shot. Try each on its own.
