Yes, but flagship refers to a single company. Generally speaking, a companies most expensive product in the line is also there best. The titan XP is nvidias flagship card.

Hi all,

So I've seen lots of people talk about flagship content/ computer parts but I'm just staying there like what the hell is that? So does anyone know what it is, can really understand the definition that is one the Internet. Thanks in advanced!

Its the best there is to offer

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flagship

It refers to naval talk; when a naval fleet had a "flagship", it was the best ship in the fleet. It terms of computers, something like the titan XP would be their "flagship" card. A iPhone 7+ is Apple's current "flagship" phone.

Flagship is essentially the companies best. If a company releases 3 products that do the same task, the best consumer grade one is usually referred to as the flagship.

GTX 1060, GTX 1070, 1080, and Titan XP are the current 10-series cards.

The Titan XP performs the best and is therefore the flagship.

Flagship = usually most expensive consumer-grade product

Okay. Take a look at apple. While apple sells a wide variety of phones right  now, currently there iPhone 7 is considered their flagship product. That was the issue with Samsung. The note 7 was supposed to be their flagship phone, and the battery issue put a major stain on it and eventually lead to the discontinuation.

I when NVIDIA released the 1080,1070 and Titan xp, you say that the Titan XP is their "flagship" card? Or is this "flagship" also counted on how much performance the thing has per dollar?
