second gpu inactive?

i am currently running msi geforce gtx 970 sli oc (sli on) but when i hover over nvidia control panel gpu activity my second gpu is always inactive would it be as simple as a new sli bridge?

SLI only works in 3D modes. If you're browsing the web or doing normal operations, the other card will not be used. It will simply idle.

You can download 3DMark. The free version should be sufficient - that will utilize both GPUs if the second one is working correctly. What video games are you playing?

I play wot also lol it doesn't support SLI in the least. It, war thunder, and CSGO all require so little GPU power that it really doesn't matter that you have a second card in there

Gta v should have no problem, BF4 has EXCELLENT SLI support, Arma 3 probably doesn't, considering it's super CPU intensive.

i ran the test and i think it went pretty well it showed both gpu http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/15507809

wouldnt let me if i did anything to the program it would close im sure it worked tho it saw the 2 cards and sli

You can set Precision or Afterburner to display stats while in full screen mode.
