Cooling for a phantom 410

Hello everyone,

I had a question about cooling the phantom 410. I'm building my first real gaming rig soon and I'm trying to figure out an efficient and simple airflow system. For some background, the case is the NZXT phantom 410, CPU: 4670k, GPU: Asus R9 280x, and CPU cooler: probably the evo 212. Now, I want to remove the stock fans that came with the case and use this configuration:

2 front 120 mm intake fans (Corsair AF performance)
1 bottom 120 mm intake fan (Corsair AF performance)
1 rear exhaust 120 mm fan (Corsair AF performance)
1 top 140 mm fan (Corsair AF quiet)

All of these fans, I plan to connect to the included fan controller with the case and place them on low when idle and crank them to high during gaming. Is that configuration valid? I don't want to use both 140 mm top exhaust slots because then I would have 3 intake (2 front, 1 bottom) : 3 exhaust (2 top, 1 rear) and I was thinking that a positive airflow pattern would be better so 3 intake (2 front, 1 rear): 2 exhaust (1 rear, 1 top, the slot closer to the drive bays). What do you think of that? I dont want to hear an engine so Im trying to keep it as quiet and affordable as possible.

I would advise 2 intake and 1 exhaust, personally i think your config is overkill

I would just get the 2 intakes and the 1 exhaust, and poossibly the bottom intake if you wish, as the noise added by that one should be almost unnoticable, but top-mounted fans, especially if the case runs on the floor, will tend to let a lot of noise through, as well as produce noise themselves.

I had a Corsair Carbide 400R with the exact setup you're describing, only 2 exhaust fans at the top and 2 more at the side for intake, and the thing was so noise. In my current Define R4, I have all noctuas placed 2 at the front for intakes, 1 at the bottom for extra intake, and 1 exhaust. It's really quiet that way, and exhaust doesn't need much help at the back anyway.
