WTF has happened to soundcloud?

so i went onto soundcloud after youtube did have anything decend and its all rap regardless of what genre,

music in other languages when they should be in world genre. . . .

whats happened to soundcloud for it to be so unorganised?

You do know ´world music´ is an actual genre, right? It might be a broad one, but it's a genre non the less.

And no, the genre is not defined as anything that isn't sung in English.

Foreigners are also capable of making ´regular´ music.

 

As for the rap making it into other lists: They have probably just spammed the hell out of the tag system, so the tracks show up in as many lists as possible. 

Report it and move on.

iirc "world music" refers to older styles of music, mostly those kept alive trough long traditions.

for example the music made by tribes detached from the "modern world" would be considered world music.

Pretty much, yes.

Although, ´world music´ more broadly refere to culturally unique music, so stuff like bluegrass and Norwegian throat singing would also be included.
