Hi, I'm looking to add fpv to my quad copter for as cheap as possible.

 

I would not want to spend more then $100(AUD) on all the FPV parts.

 

I don't need good quality because I will be mounting another camera on the drone as well for good quality video recording. It may be possible to use that camera as a the fpv camera as well since it has a "
HDMI micro connector (Type D)" port. I'm not sure if it outputs live video yet as I can't test it since I'm lacking the required cable.

 

Also I would prefer a monitor / screen over goggles.

Typically you don't want to use an HD camera for your FPV view as it introduces a ton of latency into the system. The industry standard FPV cameras are the Run Cam Swift and HS1177. Assuming you already have a google system, you could totally get a video transmitter (VTX) and camera for under $100USD (not a clue what that translates to in AUD).
