Budget Phone

Any recommendations on phones that are below 5.5" (preferably 5" or below) and around $300? Brother's Oneplus One (bought secondhand) is having issues with random reboots and even not turning on, so I might give him my OPO which isn't having those issues (we've tried factory resets, wiping the cache and dalvik cache)

I mainly care about battery and general smoothness. Coming from lg l9 that lagged opening the keyboard has made me irritated and focused on smoothness.

 

The google fi deal for the 5x seems to still be running but looking around in case. (out of stock of the 16gb ones right now though)

 

Oneplus X out of the question due to LTE band not being supported on T-Mobile.
