Old vs Newer

Recount
Question for you fine ladies and gentle persons.
My current rig is:
i5 4460
16gb (2x8gb)
gtx970

I've been offered (for free)
i7 2600
16GB (4x4gb)
no gpu

my question to you is..... is it putting my gpu in to the 2600 or leaving it where it is?

any advice would be fantastic

My advice would be: send that 2nd system to me, for free.

I would really apreciate that.

Thanks in advance.

1-Sell your CPU, your MB, that CPU, RAM and MB

2-???

3-Profit! (get better CPU and MB)

Also fix that text format

The 2600 is a step down from what you have so no, keep what you currently have and either sell the other rig or use it for something else.

No way, the 2600 is better in multi threaded applications hands down.

Plus it can be overclocked, his 4460 can not. The 2600 is just the better option.

The 2600 is not multiplier unlocked, though it can be overclocked by 4 turbo boost bins.

I read it as K, woops.

Still I'd use the 2600 over the 4460 anyways. The single threaded performance difference is negligible and the multithreaded performance boost is significant.

Of course this depends on your needs, but that's my 2 cents.
