Lightweight OS for an Athlon 64 X2 QL64 Laptop

I found an Acer 5536 in my cousin's house, she said i could keep it and do whatever i want with it.

Well, i could give it some use as a around the house internet browsing machine, nothing fancy.

I'm looking for a lightweight OS to make it fly as a simple internet browsing PC.

What OS should i try? I installed Gnome Ubuntu in x64, but it feels a little bit heavy for the PC.

Maybe Lubuntu, or Puppy Linux. (They're really lightweight)

Well, i could try Elementary, for what i remember it was a really nice OS.

And Elementary looks soooo nice, i love it.

Download right now, i'll come back latter and report on how well the PC liked it.

Mint might run, but also might struggle a little bit.  Lubuntu, Xubuntu, and maybe Debian with XFCE/LXDE should run pretty well, though.  Arch if you're willing to go through a very involved installation process compared to other distros and put in more effort to get the system configured and generally up and running (I wouldn't recommend this without a good bit of prior experience running Linux).
