My parents live in an old large house. Which means, I dont have ethernet outlets and I have to use repeaters. Currently we have powerline adapters, an apple airport extreme v3, and 4 airport expresses v1.

The internet is spotty and seams to go out due to the devices not picking the right network or the repeaters connecting to the wrong hub.

We have a lot of devices. Smart tv ipads ect...

Im looking to upgrade the wifi system for under 1000. Lower is better. Looking for all devices to get 25mbs access. Any help?

Id get about 5 of these https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1184038-REG/ubiquiti_networks_uap_ac_lite_unifi_ap_ac.html

Then get one of there cloud keys or setup a vm to manage it.

They will all have the same ssid and will transfer seamlessly.

How big are those?

Are they easy to install in hidden locations?

They are easy to install in hidden locations based on Linus's video on Ubiquiti, you can even get a PoE switch like the Cisco 3560 and run the ethernet cable to where you are going to keep the switch. To get the devices to connect to each access point, you can give all of them the same SSID and the same password; as an example, my school use like hundreds of access points and they name them the same and give them the same password.
