Well, what do you want in your monitor? You listed monitors that are different sizes, which size do you prefer? Does IPS matter to you? Any reason why you want one of those two monitors?

these set in my budget perfectly, i am looking for a monitor for decent gaming and video watching,

reviews of both suggest

contrast ratio: Lg<benq

Dpi: lg>benq

Quality LG>benq

And does it make any difference between VA or IPS panel.

IPS is significantly better colors and viewing angle with higher response time. I would go for the LG.

1080p on a 27 inch looks weird...

Its not that bad. I have a 27" 1080p 144hz monitor and i think it looks fine.
