Hey so I'm just wondering if upgrading a CPU would be worth it, I was thinking running an i3 6100 for at least half a year, and then upgrading to an i5 6600 or something along the lines. I will be pairing this with an amd rx 470 video card. So overall I was epndering if it should be done. I'd love to here other's opinions and suggestion. Also I'd appreciate it if you guys could recommend me a cheap atx that's compatible. Thanks again.

You could probably upgrade to the i5 later then resell the i3 for a good price.

I'd say, get the i3 now and worry about upgrading later. You might find that the apps and games you run work fine on the i3, and, if not, you can get a Skylake or Kabylake i5 later.
