I'm thinking about purchasing a Logitech G602 wireless mouse to replace my free Alienware mouse which I was given by a friend. I have heard lots of good things about it, and love the thought of the numerous buttons, but nobody has mentioned anything about the scroll wheel. Are the steps well defined? Does it last well?

Also, is it a comfortable mouse to hold for someone used to palm grip with very slight claw sometimes?

Thanks in advance

If it's like the G502, yes and it has a free-floating scroll for when you want to f#ck around on Excel or switch weapons on CSGO very quickly.

logitech mice seem to have the timeless issue of the scroll getting "misaligned" sometimes (which can be fixed by giving it a nice long scroll, sometimes the mechanism is just odd :P) but other than that there's very little bad to be said about them in general.

It does not feature the  free-floating scroll wheel toggle (I don't really need this anyway), and is visually quite different to that of the G502. I was really hoping for some G602 owners to contribute, but thank you for taking the time anyway.

Do you own a G602?

I have a g602, only had it for a week or two so far - love it. As for the question with the scroll steps, yeah they're defined. In my opinion the steps are just about right, I can always tell how many steps I've scrolled. While going from a smooth scrolling mouse does sometimes make scrolling in webpages or spreadsheets feel a bit more restrictive, especially as as stated before the free scrolling mode of the g502 didn't make it into the 602, that's pretty minor. As I've only had it a couple weeks I can't say anything about how well it will last, but my last mouse was a Logitech mouse from the year 2000 and that lasted well, so I would expect good things ;)

I have a G500, which is in terms of shape within margin with the g602 (the classic 'logitech' shape they had for ages)

And their scroll mechanism is really similar troughout most mice, and unfortunately just hitches sometimes. (My g500 does it, my old mx518 does it, my performance mx does it. Fortunately every new gen they make seems to get better tho, so it's not much of a worry anymore.)

Alright mate, thanks for the help! Will see if I can find a store which has an open-box model for me to try out.
