You should never take apart a GPU/CPU with thermal paste and then just stick it back on without reapplying, you will create air bubbles and decrease performance. It might not be major decrease, but there will likely be one.

Using MSI afterburner , what are your temperatures? Hopefully you only took apart your GPU when you saw abnormally high temps; if your temperatures are fine now, then there is no need to go through the trouble of reapplying the thermal paste. And it wouldn't die from the heat from something like this, your PC would just suddenly turn itself off.

Gaming - Ryzen 9800X3D | 64GB 6400mhz cl30 9070 XT

Homelab - many servers...constantly changing.

3970X/256GB - 5950X/128GB ECC - 5600G/96GB - 3400GE/16GB - 3400GE/16GB

and one more thing there no different thermal paste like if GPU have different thermal paste and CPU different thermal paste

Just can't be an electroconductive paste. And just know that a GPU requires you to put more paste than what you would for a CPU. Usually apply it in an "X" pattern over the GPU die

My build:

i7-6800k @ 4.32GHz

ASRock Fatal1ty X99 Professional Gaming i7

G.Skill Rampage V 4x8GB DDR4-2800MHz @ 2916MHz

Zotac 1070 AMP Extreme @ 2100MHz

Samsung 950 Pro 256GB M.2 NVME SSD

Samsung 850 Evo 1TB SSD

EVGA 750W 80+ Gold

NZXT Kraken X61 CPU Cooler

NZXT Hue+

Corsair 750D Airflow Edition

Is that a question?

If it is, then yes, there is no difference in thermal paste. whether its a GPU or CPU it does the exact same thing with the exact same parts; it fills the gaps between two plates of metal to transfer heat more efficently. There is conductive and non-conductive thermal paste, most is non-conductive, make sure you use that; if you don't and you put too much on you can kill the card (conductive thermal paste is usually slightly better performance though).
