Anybody know much about engineering samples?

Just wondering if there are any people who know what they're doing with ES cpus up to broadwell-e, please reply!

a friend of mine has en engineering sample in his laptop , he bought an I7 off ebay and it turned out to be an ES ,

its works the same , just device manager and certain apps say funny things when they try to figure out what it is
