I have hd issues with my crossfire 7950's.
When the second card is in the system crashes under load.
I thought it was the psu but have since changed to a TX 750M.It still crashes
They only thing i have not is the motherboard. Could i motherboard cause such a problem?

My system is:
asrock 970 extreme 3
fx 8320
8 gb ripjaw gskills ram
two 7950's in crossfire
Aswell as about 6 fans
1 hdd
1 ssd
TX 750M

Have you tried replacing GPU 1 with GPU 2 and just running GPU 2 under load?

Your 2nd card may be faulty/unstable.

Make sure the ULPS "ultra low power state" or something like that is disabled, it should automatically disable itself once you launch a game, but some times it doesn't, so you have to manually disable it from the windows registry.

Edit: Run GPU-z, and see if the 2nd GPU has its 384-bit "Bus width", if it doesn't then its ULPS messing with your crossfire.
