BattleFeild 3 FPS not playing at my normal >120fps

Usually Battlefeild 3 runs over 120fps but yesterday i noticed it playing at 80fps

which was irregular and noticeable since im used to playing on 144hz.

Now today its playing at <40fps.

 

Im running a GTX Titan X Superclocked (dont judge me)

                     Core i7 4770

Is it watercooled or on stock fans?

Remove drivers and and install again

that's weird, normally such issues could be attributed to thermal throttle, but you say thermals are fine.
