Better off going for an i7 6700 over an i5 6600K

Do you already have the display? as a free-sync display is going to be a fair amount less than a G-sync display

as for your case why don't you just get a Define S? it's basically the same thing

far as the RPG goes, probably dragon age origins, skip the 2nd game probably though

@Streetguru i dont know how it is in youre country but i my country it cost much more with a define s and do i realy need a i7?

btw thanks for the tips on the games

I would actually say the i5 6600k is perfectly fine. It supports up to 4k resolution and it won't bottleneck that 1070 at all. Plus it supports overclocking, so if you know how to do that you can get it up to 4.0 ghz so it's performance is damn close to the stock i7 6700. I would only go i7 6700 if your planning on doing lots of creative work or heavy streaming and video editing. Do you know how to overclock your CPU?

I would rather agree on what we share, than fight on what we don't. - Myself

assuming the prices translate 4 cores at 4ghz turbo + hyperthreading > 4 cores at 4.5ghz OC Ez, makes it so you never really have a reason to upgrade from the i7

the whole point to the locked i7 is mostly being able to avoid a pricey Z170 board

I would honestly go i5 6600k, it's cheaper, perform great for gaming, and later on you can always buy a water cooler and learn how to overclock it.
